Croydon sits at the far edge of our patch but firmly inside it. Based in East London. Covering all of Greater London.
CR0 is one of the biggest postcodes in the capital and most of it was built between the wars: 1930s semis across Addiscombe, Shirley and Woodside, with Edwardian terraces closer to the centre and a dense cluster of flats, both conversions and new towers, around central Croydon itself. The interwar stock is the heart of our work here, because so many of these semis are still running on consumer units that predate modern protection entirely.
Interwar semis and their boards
The 1930s semi is Croydon's signature house, and its signature problem is an outdated fuse board. We replace old boards with modern consumer units, test every circuit as part of the job, and certify the installation the same day. Where original cable survives, we say so plainly and quote the rewire.
EV charging on suburban driveways
Off-street parking is standard across Addiscombe and Shirley, which makes CR0 excellent EV charger territory. We survey the supply, install a quality charge point and handle the DNO paperwork. Detached garages and long runs are common in these plots, so we quote after seeing the layout, not before.
Edwardian terraces and central conversions
Closer to the centre, the older terraces and the houses converted into flats produce steady rewiring, board and certification work. Shared supplies in conversions are a regular find, and we separate and certify them properly.
Landlord compliance in a large rental market
Croydon has one of the largest private rented sectors in south London. We carry out EICRs, remedials and smoke alarm upgrades across CR0, batching multiple properties for landlords who hold several.
