Privacy and cookies

MM Electricians is a East London-based electrical business covering Greater London. For any question about your information, or to make any of the requests below, email info@mmelectricianslondon.co.uk. We are the data controller for the information described here.

When you contact us or use this site, we may collect:

• Enquiry and booking details you give us: your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, postcode, a description of the work, and any photos you choose to upload. We use these only to respond to your enquiry, quote for the work, and carry it out.
• Payment information if you book an emergency callout and pay the £30 callout charge. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details; we only record that the charge was paid.
• Usage information, if you accept analytics cookies: which pages you visit and which buttons you tap, so we can see what is useful and improve the site. This is measured with Google Analytics and a first-party record on our own server. None of it runs until you accept.

Our lawful bases are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interest in running the business, for enquiry and booking data; performing a contract, for payment; and your consent, for analytics cookies.

We use two kinds of cookies:

• Strictly necessary: a small cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and a secure sign-in cookie used only by staff logging into the admin area. These are always on because the site cannot work properly without them.
• Analytics: Google Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. These are set only if you accept them, and never before.

You can change your choice at any time:

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:

• Brevo, to send enquiry confirmation and notification emails.
• Stripe, to take the emergency callout payment securely.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its data.
• Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• DeepSeek, to power the optional site chat assistant, only for the messages you type into the chat.

We keep enquiry and booking information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and for our records and legal obligations, then we remove or anonymise it. Analytics data is kept for a limited period in line with our settings.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it in certain ways. To make any of these requests, email info@mmelectricianslondon.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
